Hearing New Zealand Piako

Our Association members are served for the most part by providing them with information about service resources available in Te Aroha and surrounding towns through four newsletters per year. Membership of our association gives entitlement to hearing aid batteries at a greatly reduced price. The Committee of our association form a network of people in the town who will go to the aid of anyone needing help.

Our Association offers:
Referral service
Batteries at extremely low price
We keep the awareness out in the community that there is help out there for the hearing impaired.
Our quarterly newsletters list all services that are available in town and around with contact details and relevant website addresses for the hearing impaired. We endeavour to keep our members informed about progress in technology and topics resolving the challenges of hearing loss.

  • Your hearing is precious.  Look after it as once it is damaged it cannot be repaired.  Being young won’t protect you!
If you have to raise your voice to speak to someone next to you, the noise around you is dangerous.

    Words of Wisdom
  • The Hearing Association of New Zealand is passionate about helping those with hearing impairments to experience life to the fullest.  If you need our support or are interested in supporting the work that we do, we would love to hear from you.
